 M. Sc. Mathematics  (Specialization: Graph Theory and Numerical Analysis)

  • Ph.D. in Mathematics, Delhi Univ. (Graph Theory).  
  • Title of the Thesis: Numbered graphs and Applications. 
  • Guides: Dr. B.D. Acharya and Prof. R.N. Kaul

 

Teaching Experience:

 

Taught for  4 years in Gokahle Centenary College, (Arts and  Science) Ankola during 1981-85 and worked as assistant professor in Centre for mathematical Sciences, trivandrum for 2 years and teaching in KREC/NITK Surathkal since September 1992. Presently working as a Professor in the Dept. of MACS, NITK Surathkal.


Research Experience:
Started my research career at the Mehta Research Institute Allahabad in 1985 (presently Harischandra Research Institute Allahabad) . My area of research is Graph Theory: Graph Labeling Problems. Collaborating with Prof. L.W. Beineke of Purdue University, USA and  Prof. Mirka Miller of University of Newcastle, Australia. Associated with Prof.V. Arvind of Matscience, Chennai and Prof. G.R. Vijaykumar of TIFR, Mumbai.
Got Post Doctoral Fellowship of Institute of Mathematical Sciences (MATSCIENCE) Chennai.

 

I am placed in the 5th place among the people working on Graph Labeling Problems (Ref: www.graphtheory.com).

 

Published 28 papers in refereed National/International journals and 4 papers in conference proceedings. Papers are reviewed in Mathematical Reviews. Guided 2 and guiding four Ph.Ds. Guided 20 M. Tech., 30 MCA projects and 4 Undergraduate projects. Presented papers/given invited talks at 25 national and 15 international conferences held in India/abroad.
